The executive board of the Alfeizerão Parish Council and the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of São Martinho do Porto request the collaboration of the entire Alfeizerão parish community for the creation of the COMMEMORATIVE BOOK OF THE 120TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS OF SÃO MARTINHO DO PORTO (1907–2027).
For this book to be truly representative of the history, activity, and collective memory of the Volunteer Firefighters of São Martinho do Porto, the collaboration of members, former firefighters, family, and friends throughout the area where the corporation has carried out its work (such as the PARISH OF ALFEIZERÃO) is fundamental. We seek to gather materials that only the community can provide, namely:
- Old or recent photographs;
- Various documents (registrations, party tickets, programs, incident reports, newspaper articles, among others);
- Oral testimonies and personal memories related to the Volunteer Firefighters of São Martinho do Porto.
Photographs, documents, and other materials can be sent in digital format (scans or photographs) to the email: antonio_martinscosta@hotmail.com
Those who prefer to deliver the material in person, as a loan or transfer, may do so in São Martinho do Porto, at the Volunteer Firefighters' Headquarters; or in Alfeizerão, at the Alfeizerão Parish Council office or at the Baú das Memórias cultural space, which will forward it to the corporation's headquarters – where this material will be properly identified and handled with care.
